With my marathon training set to start on Monday, I thought I'd get out early to try out my new trainers (thanks Mum and Dad!).
I went out for my standard 2.5 mile short run, which was made interesting by the snow and patches of black ice - I haven't quite yet mastered the skill of running and slipping over at the same time.
The new trainers rock, and I'm looking forward to my 16 week training plan, courtsey of Runners World (thanks to Mark and Becky for the magazine subscription).
The training consists of 4 shortish runs a week, and a big'un on a Sunday - reaching 20 miles as my training builds up.
