Another weekend, another half marathon.
Headed along a common route to Martlesham, but turned left when in Kesgrave down Dr Watson's Lane.
There, sitting in the warm of his cab, was an old BT colleague - Will Gill. We were developers together years ago, but now he's more at home going into people's homes and getting their internal wiring sorted.
Ended up having quite a long conversation with him, as he's expecting a child in the coming months.
After finally letting him get on with his job, I headed down into Playford. This was made a little treacherous with the knowledge that some of the roads here are used as a rat-run, so had to keep my wits about!
One of the joys of running is that it gives you the opportunity to explore places, and it was definitely the case today. I ended up in a tiny village called Culpho, which is quite picturesque.
I stopped for a couple of photos during the run, which took my eye, or gave me subtle amusement as I was going along. These will be featured at the end of the blog!
After checking my phone a few times to check the time and where I was, I made my way back home, via Tuddenham, a large hill, and Colchester Road.
Upon arriving home I had a quick shower and raced out to Martlesham, where we had pizza in celebration of Bil's (my brother-in-law) birthday.
Tonight I'm conducting Martlesham Brass in a TV and Films concert, with a more serious Orchestral work with Woodbridge Orchestra tomorrow.
