Went out for my first "proper" London run this evening with great friends Arch, Dan and Darren. We're all in a bit of techy-heaven, each with our own gadgets, be it my Nokia E71, or a Garmin, iPhone or iPod, to keep us company.
Being in darkness has it's perils, especially when jogging along high streets, but we're all starting to work out the magic of how to weave inbetween people without knocking them over.
It was great to run through Hyde Park, especially being able to see the lit-up sites of the BT Tower and the London Eye. I was surprised, but pleased about how many runners were out - this seems like a prime location and time to get those all-important miles in.
We started and finished at our local gym, with the last rewarding stretch being down-hill. At the end I turned to my Nokia to see how far we had gone; my training plan had 4 miles to run, but we all managed >7 which was great.
Onwards and upwards!
